Absolutely awful customer service

I ordered a pair of shoes directly from the website on 29.9.24. The shoes arrived 7.10.24. I'd ordered a size 9 and dissappointingly received a pair of size 8.
I contacted customer services on 8.10.24 and arranged a return. This was collected 10.10.24 and delivered 14.10.24.
On 23.10.24 I contacted customer services as I not heard anything. Having been asked to confirm the return tracking number, my return was confirmed and I was informed I would be refunded, contrary to my request for the correct sized shoes.
I was then told the correct size was out of stock and I would have to recieve a refund. Having checked the website the correct sized shoes are listed as in stock.
I have to say this is singularly the worst online shopping and customer service I've experienced in over 30 years.

Expensive but worth every penny.

Although expensive, possibly the most comfortable shoes i have ever worn , really light. Would certainly purchase again.
