Excursion P725479 Black Mens Boots

The weather has been almost bone dry since I purchased these boots and I was very happy with how comfortable they were and easy to slip on and off. Yesterday I went for a short walk on wet (but quite short) grass and was really surprised how wet my feet were. I messaged Cat customer services who in effect said, ‘they’re not waterproof and erm … that’s it’ Admittedly these boots are the very cheapest end of the Cat range and I wouldn’t expect them to keep dry in really wet conditions but having had Cat boots before I thought they would have minimum standards. This morning I walked in them again across my short-mown lawn which had a bit of dew on it - exactly the same result of wet feet. ‘Workboots?’ - they’re more like paper-thin open-toe sandals in terms of water protection!
